About FriendRunner Alert

Your Facebook application communicates with Facebook through the Facebook Platform. This is the part of the Facebook code that responds to your application's requests. That's why changes to the Facebook Platform, such as which API calls are supported, can break your application, even if you don't make any changes.

FriendRunner Alert monitors the Facebook Platform for changes, which occur at least once a week. When the Platform changes, FriendRunner Alert automatically tests your application to make sure it still works properly before Facebook deploys these changes to production.

If there's a problem and Facebook releases a change that breaks your application, FriendRunner Alert detects this and alerts you immediately so that you can fix it before your customers find it.
